Spazio Maiocchi located in Milan, acts as a cross-disciplinary space as well as an idea aggregator to shape cultural experiences.
Spazio Maiocchi is a social space where art, design and fashion blend to shape new cultural experiences, hosted in a former industrial building of over 1000 square meters in central Milan. Originating from the convergence of visionary founding partners Slam Jam and Carhartt WIP, the space opened in October 2017 and has since presented cross-disciplinary projects with a wide range of international partners. Through a rich program of events and exhibitions curated by KALEIDOSCOPE, Spazio Maiocchi has affirmed itself as a new breed of art institution, building and nurturing a culturally conscious, new-generation audience in Italy’s fashion and design capital.
Since 2019, the storefront space hosts Artifact, a new meeting place and ever-changing display for ideas designed by Berlin-based architecture firm Gonzalez Haase, which places emphasis on the notion of craft. In Spring 2020, Spazio Maiocchi launched Afterimage, an online platform dedicated to moving image, aiming to carve out a space for meaningful and immersive viewing amid today’s overwhelming amount of visual stimuli.
