Studio Vincent Eschalier has completed the minimalist MC apartment within the 7th arrondissement of Paris, behind the large porte-cochere of a former private mansion.
On the fourth floor of a five-story building, the apartment is oriented towards a courtyard and has a long linear facade with many openings and abundant natural light. The architect imagined an open space, without visual obstacles, where curved volumes lead to the living room, which combines a raw (stainless steel and wood) and noble (marble, terrazzo, and travertine) mix of materials. This contributes to its minimalism. The made-to-measure mirror cabinet dresses the back wall of the room, enhancing its volume and extending the opening space while concealing the kitchen components. In all areas of the apartment, waxed concrete reinforces the monochrome atmosphere and enhances the owner's furniture collection. This same language is found in the bedrooms, including custom-made full-height furniture, open bathrooms, and materials that speak to each other.
