Max Dudler established his own design practice in 1986, and ever since then, he accomplished wide range of different scale architectural projects in Germany and abroad. The architect, together with his team, operates from Berlin, Zurich and Frankfurt am Main.
Recently we are delighted with the beautiful Cantzheim project from Max Dudler, thus we invite our readers to discover the house that stands out of stunning backdrop of vineyards in the town of Kanzem, Germany.
In this commision the team of architects Katharina Laekamp, Kilian Teckemeier, Julia Lapsin, Patrick Grendel and the team leader Simone Boldrin with the help of landscape architect Bernhard Korte merged old value with modern approach to architecture and landscape. First of all the old Baroque house that stands on the lot since ages, was respectfully renovated as to „revive the extraordinary connection between the architecture and the landscape it inhabit”. Nevertheless while carrying the work of renovating the old building, the architects also introduced two new volumes, that also been erected at a respectful distance, accentuating the solitary dignity of the manor house.
