UK-based, modular, sustainable architects Koto in partnership with the New Art Centre have released a multifunctional and carbon neutral cabin for on site or off-grid living.
Koto have created a cabin that serves as a place of deep work and mediation, a contemplative room and an immersive space to connect with the surrounding nature. The structure assumes an elegant and functional sculptural geometric form with large glazing that frames views of the garden. The structure is entirely natural and carbon neutral.
The tiny office is clad in charred timber, and its geometry appears to subtly shift when viewed from each consecutive angle. Generous glazing comprises an entire facade, framing views of the gardens on the art center’s grounds.
"We want to disrupt how we see the conventional office," says Zoe Little, founding partner at Koto. "It’s a space that enhances the landscape, giving people privacy with direct access to nature."
