Sicilia Fantasma is a photographic series by Pietro Motisi, captured in Sicily, Italy.

Through his photographs, Pietro Motisi analyzes the deep bond that unites man with the environment around him, the space in which he lives. For this reason in many of his photographs the natural landscape blends with elements of architecture or objects, traces of man’s presence.

Among his projects, the one that struck us the most and the one from which this research of his is Sicilia Fantasma. These are a series of shots taken between 2012 and 2018 that shows us a unique and personal vision of the territory, in this case of territory very dear to him.

Pietro Motisi accompanies us on a journey that forces us to reflect on the importance of our actions, our presence and the responsibilities that each of us has towards what surrounds us.
