Kent Andreasen is a photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. He is determined to protect himself from being inserted in a box, whether with caption of a fashion photography or documentary pictures.

Having strong African roots, Kent’s inspiration often comes from his South African heritage and he often works close to his home. His photographs aim to celebrate the mundane and overlooked details, we leave unnoticed, due to our busy lives. Presented below is a survey of Kent’s artistic practice, capturing vivid emotion and scenarios.

"He considers photography an addictive media, enjoying throughout all the faceted process, including the one that has to do with the rather craft side. Photography is for him a tool that makes him assume developing roles, allowing him to appreciate a kind of self-growth, in accordance. He is active with the idea of shooting images that first of all satisfy his own gaze, making secondly the other pleased." — C41
