Harriet Davey is a Berlin-based 3D artist known for her shiny, lustrous alien-like creatures.

Originally from Yorkshire but now based in Berlin, Harriet embraces the mistakes that come with working in free softwares and relishes being a member of the 3D community.

In her world, everyone is just a little more glistening, a little more light-filled. Technical precision and experimentation give way to ethereal, post-earth imaginings. She’s created avatars for Margiela, collaborated with experimental musicians, and translated dreams and nightmares into vivid animations.

“Everything I make becomes shiny. It’s not particularly on purpose, but I’ve just fallen deeper and deeper in love with specularity in my shaders. You know, it just looks so yummy, but impossible, but also hyper-realistic, I can’t escape it however hard I try.”

From Instagram face filters to 3D animations, Harriet has immersed her skills into the wondrous world of futurism. “The ability to fully immerse oneself or another into a new space and experience is really what draws me to these virtual worlds.”
