The Sage Lounge design process was inspired by the tea drinking ceremony and the by LABOTORY Architects philosophy of minimalist forms and gestures in interiors.

In this story, the form, function, and color of a cup of tea are transformed into design concepts. As a first step, the elaborate shape of the teacup is visualized in three dimensions. As a result, designers transformed drinking tea into a place of relaxation and communication. In addition, the color of transparent tea and clean teacups is reflected throughout the space through an elaborate curves. The core space reinterpreted the shape of the teacup and expressed it in the form of curved walls and ceilings.

By using glass, which is a transparent and reflective material, and the form of the ceiling, the scene of pouring tea into a cup was captured in the central space. Through this spatial arrangement, designers aim to deliver a comfortable resting space.

Additionally, with the pure color and warmth of the tea, we wanted to enhance the color of the space and deliver a comfortable and distinct experience of the Sage VIP lounge" says the LABOTORY.
