Sustainable brand Oakywood, known for their unique blend of nature and technology, has recently partnered with industrial designer Magdalena Gembala to create their latest collection - the MagSafe series.

The collection comprises four products designed specifically for iPhone and Apple Watch users: an iPhone Stand, iPhone Desk Shelf Mount, iPhone Wall Mount, and Magnetic Charging Apple Watch Stand. All products are united by their simple form, functional design, and compatibility with Apple devices. The series is a result of months of design work and multiple rounds of usability tests. The brand emphasizes that the products were created to best meet the needs of users of innovative chargers.

The minimalist aesthetic is defined by soft shapes and natural materials, and represents the brand's direction towards creating simple yet sophisticated forms. The products feature a range of well-thought-out details, such as an ergonomic tilt angle for comfortable use while charging, low center of gravity for stability, and a small hole in the backrest to thread the charger cable. The products are also easy to install, with the Desk Shelf Mount featuring a steel clamping mechanism and the iPhone Wall Mount that can be attached with 3M tape or a screw. The metal puck, which serves as a holder for the MagSafe charger, can be detached for easy charging in a horizontal position.

"We want to enrich our everyday reality with natural materials like wood, cork, or wool," said CEO and founder Mateusz Haberny. "Whether it’s a felt desk mat or a solid wood standing desk, natural materials redefine work comfort by providing you with a unique sensory experience and wind-down cozy moments right at your workspace." Mateusz's appreciation for wood and its endless possibilities was nurtured from a young age, growing up in the Tatra village of Ciche where carpentry was a family trade passed down from generation to generation. Under the guidance of his father, Mateusz honed his skills and embraced the love for woodworking.

The MagSafe collection is made of high-quality materials such as oak, walnut wood in natural colors, black-painted oak, and aluminum. The use of aluminum has allowed for the appropriate weight of individual elements and the entire structure, making the products both stable and comfortable to use.

Your workspace. Reinvented. The new motto of the brand is towards workspaces, creating products that cater to remote workers whether at home, in a home office or on-the-go. CEO and founder Mateusz Haberny, who grew up in a family of carpenters, brings his admiration for wood and passion for new technology to the brand.

Oakywood’s sustainable model acknowledges that they only exist by working with nature and contributing to reforesting efforts. With a passion for working with wood and respect for nature, the brand has teamed up with One Tree Planted to plant one tree for every product purchased. The wood used to create its products is responsibly sourced from FSC Certified suppliers in Europe and the United States.
