This collection emerged triumphantly from its debut at Michael Bargo's gallery, representing a pivotal juncture in Ian Felton's odyssey as a designer. Every creation within the collection possesses an individualistic narrative, enriched with historical resonance that stems from meticulous crafting spanning well over a year of contemplative exploration.

As the designer himself eloquently puts it, "I try to create functional art objects imbued with a sense of animism often inspired by ancient cultures. My most recent collection, called KOSA, takes inspiration from pre-Colombian cultures, looking at the details in architecture, ceramics, and symbology. These nascent societies were experts at whimsical storytelling, and I try to capture that in an abstract way."

Delving into the essence of American design through Ian Felton's lens, an exploration of the nation's youthful and diverse cultural tapestry comes into view. Particularly evident in the vibrant mosaic of New York, this blend of backgrounds and traditions serves as an intrinsic wellspring of creativity. While acknowledging the undercurrents of a capitalist economy that guide creation through need and demand, Felton underscores the empowering embrace of an expansive and supportive market for artistic endeavors. This nurturing ecosystem affords the freedom to transcend established norms and delve into artistic authenticity.

With his sights set on the horizon, Ian Felton's forthcoming plans shine brightly. A spotlight is poised to illuminate his participation in Milan Design Week, where a new gallery will host a showcase of his innovative creations. The upcoming exhibit not only introduces novel works but also unveils a fresh materiality that has been meticulously cultivated over the course of the past year. Beyond this grand stage, the designer's ambitions extend to interior design ventures, including a partnership with accomplished interior designer Valerie Name on a residential apartment project in Madrid. As his journey continues, the driving forces remain the evolution of his craft and the exploration of new realms in design.
