The Harria Luminary Collection, conceived by designer Joshua Linacisoro, draws its inspiration from the Basque phrase “Harria da Argia”—the stone is light. This guiding concept captures the essence of the project, where stone symbolizes both resistance and warmth, merging strength with an inviting glow.
The collection, rooted in the tactile experience of Basque rural sports, translates these themes into a series of four distinct luminary forms, each intended to evoke an intimate, emotional connection between people and handmade objects.
Linacisoro’s vision centers on the value of presence and attentiveness, promoting a quiet reflection that contrasts with the constant stimulation of virtual spaces. Each luminaire invites touch, with surfaces that echo the texture of skin and evoke the friction of human connection. These textures, combined with a soft, embracing light, create a sensory experience that encourages a moment of pause and introspection.
Crafted to foster a sense of grounding, the Harria collection brings light that feels familiar and comforting. The objects embody the friction and resilience essential to human relationships, with each piece symbolizing touch, warmth, and a gentle embrace. As a result, the luminaires not only illuminate spaces but also remind us of the significance of looking, listening, and being fully present in each interaction.
