Chalet La has been completed by Paris-based Atelier Leymarie Gourdon, situated in a field facing the Cambre d'Aze mountain range with a stunning lake view.
As a result of its wood appearance, the cabin connects with its surroundings and blurs within a landscape. The volume is divided into three levels, all following the existing slope of the site.
Each space is dominated by wood cladding that brings a touch of warmth and an overall raw feeling to the interiors. This minimal steel staircase serves as a structural link between the levels. Through the panoramic windows in the living room, guests can enjoy a spectacular view of the lake. This feature can also be found in the upper master bedroom.
The Leymarie Gourdon architectural studio was founded by Eva and Chloé in Paris in 2014. Passionate about detail, the atelier is developing an architecture that explores the relationships between materials, textures and finishing solutions.
