Inspired by the Australian landscape, particularly the flora and fauna, Adelaide based potter, Kerryn Levy‘s work embraces the handmade nature of ceramics.
Using traditional ceramic processes, Kerryn Lévy creates sculptures of use that bear the imprint of the gesture and the material. Patterns naturally form on the surface of the clay, like so many witnesses to the shaping hand, offering a visible representation of the relationship between the body and the earth.
