Apartment302 is small apartment renovation project designed by Keiji Ashizawa for a couple in Tokyo.

The delicate use of materials had been carefully considered and balanced with exposed concrete, and with attention to detail which responds to the limitations of the project’s budget. The main walls were constructed using concrete blocks, and furnitures with fittings made of birch plywood which were integrated as concrete formwork.

Architects aim was to create and enrich this living space, which is adaptable to the demands of small-space living.
