Halo Labels is our latest precious fashion discovery. Founded by the Polish-born, Berlin-based creative Ala Sowiar, the brand invites one to back to basics.
While studying Intermedia at the University of Arts in Poznan and continuing similar program on Universität der Künste in Berlin, Ala Sowiar started to examine how texture can influence a projected image and how it can change it’s appearance. Being under influence of new medias and wide range of available tools, the designer yet turned to the essence - nature and fabric.
„Increase the life span of your clothes is the title of the collection ’17 and the word game that sets in the feeling of caring and safety, of mental comfort connected to both material and the inner worlds,” Ala shares her thoughts about her newest body of work. As she continues to desribe: „Feeling good in our clothes, learning how to take care of the body and the surroundings we occupy, is directly linked to the awareness. Like our personalities, the clothes should be worn easily and lightly. Halo Labels ’17 collection affirms freedom and softness towards ourselves.” We invite you to slowly view the collection, admiring sensual pictures taken by Bennie Julian Gay and the film by Emilia Kurylowicz during a movement practice class. We are waiting impatiently for the next Halo Labels' next doings, yet for now enjoy the Increase the life span of your clothes, a true fest for the eyes.
