We are pleased to present at Thisispaper another story of the photographer who we carefully follow — discover Speak to Me by Estelle Hanania.
This very personal visual story of Estelle was shot for Mémoire Universelle, Benoit Béthume magazine. It invites one to step into the world of Seth, a young ventriloquist who the photographer met at a ventriloquist convention in the USA.
The project has been beautiful described by the words of Laure Fernandez, who accompanied the visit at the convention and pulled from it a poetic essence.
„In the popular imagination, Kansas is the city poor lonesome cowboys leave behind. But, like them, we’ll be back. Come what may, whatever dreams people had in mind when they occur, tornados and cyclones hit the Midwest like a wake up call, telling them nature is the big chief. Closing her huge tear-filled eyes, Dorothy stomps the floor three times with the heels of her red shoes: There’s no place like home,” she repeats. There’s no place like home. Back from the Realm of Oz, she wakes up, with her nearest and dearest around her. Homesick, she has returned, after dreaming of greener pastures. Stormy weather within, and without: living the dream killed the dream. There is, to her mind, no place like home.”
