Christian Delfino is a New York-based photographer, specialising in editorial and portrait photography. In an increasingly hive-like world, Delfino shows us the slower sides of fast paced cities. His subjects are in motion, but never seem overwhelmed.
Travelling over 16 cities around the world, Christian created a series titled Disconnected. It took him 2 years to close the project. It reveals intimate moments that take place in enormous cities, where solitude and self isolation tend to intensify.
"As I arrived at these new places, I was literally disconnected from my home, friends, family, and routines. Though I felt this isolation from my home life, I found that I was better able to explore these new environments with an open mind, an outsider’s eye, which allows me to draw new connections,” shared his personal experience Christian.
