Contemporary Canadian lighting brand ANDlight recently launched modular pendant lighting, created by Lukas Peet and Caine Heintzman, designer who co-founded the company ANDlight, along with Matt Davis.
Presented below is a selection of four collections — Spotlight, Pipeline, Slab and Button series. Although, The Spotlight Volume lamps were officially launched in May 2017 at ICFF furniture fair in New York, they were originally designed by Lukas in 2010. They resemble a cylinder that is narrowed in the middle, bounded by aircraft cable.
Similar to the Spotlight Volume, the Pipeline family is made up of a linear LED pendant system and can be built in a various number of compositions, giving the system a playful character. The Pipeline Series was designed by Caine Heintzman.
The Slab series features Merino wool slabs, what makes the objects in that particular collection a bit different. The last lamp, titled Button, features wide LED pendant and surface mount light, resembling a button. Each pieces is unique in its own way, yet all together they create a coherent whole.
The collection is on display in the United Kingdom at ‘Design Junction’ London, UK, from today — Sept. 21-24, 2017 and it’s definitely worth a look.
