As an example of Walter&Walter;’s output, we invite you to discover the House A - a building located in Melbourne, composed of a field of rooms that open up and close down in response to the landscape. The architects aimed to shape the building in a way to mass „focuses the viewers’ attention on the relationship of the house to its environment providing a compelling street presence.” Creating openings in the facade they minimalized territorial boundaries forming a diverse connections and dialogues between neighbouring buildings, landscapes and the inhabited people. Using rough sawn timber for the exterior the house revealed a rare native material quality, often losed while manifacturing.
