Presented here is one of Jansen’s house projects, titled villa i korup. The house emerges form a forest landscape, creating a dialogue between raw nature and its processed components. The smooth, reflecting facade of the cube stands in a contradiction to the rough surface of tree bark, yet forms with it a harmonic relation. The inner space seems to reflect on the inside structure of a tree. Warm, wooden surfaces shape and fulfill almost every spot of the house, and trough glazed walls face its origin, the forest.
