A Practice For Everyday Life closed two projects of a radical artist Ai Weiwei, exhibited by Lisson Gallery at Zuecca Project Space during the 55th International Biennale di Venezia, 2013, in their fine book.

The referenced works, just like a large part of of Ai Weiwei’s practice are focused on both politically-charged and implicitly critical of the Chinese regime. They concern the topics of political corruption, misconduct, documentation and deliberate exposure. The London-based A Practice for Everyday Life took a challenge to close these works of great importance into a single print. „The book’s neat, formal layout, manilla-board cover and inserts borrow from the visual language of official political documentation, but within it, the sans-serif language of bureaucracy has been infiltrated with another voice, as characters from a contrasting typeface infiltrate the typography throughout,” they share a comment.
