Paula Prats is a Spanish photographer, with a background in Fine Arts, currently based in Valencia.
Influenced by the Icelandic light and darkness, while living there, Paula found it fascinating enough, to make it a departure point of her latest series, Still light. The series is an exploration of the surroundings through a personal and foreign perspective.
"The amount of daylight in the northernmost latitudes is in constant change, everyday it’s different. It grows gradually until you can hardly see the sun hiding in June and decreases until you cannot see more than a weak twilight in December, changing with it colors, landscapes and people,” explained Paula.
Still light is an invitation to experience such a perception of light. By playing with various objects, such as shiny pearls, christmas lights, or fireworks, Paula was able to create a series, that thoroughly transmits the mystery of this phenomenon.
