Portuguese architecture office Nu.ma, established by Nuno Silva and Maria Fonseca, created a modern home named House em Avanca. We’ve already featured their amazing work before, still we are fascinated by their projects and have a need to share it with you.
Presented below, House em Avanca, is a massive house, situated in Estrreja, a small municipality in Portugal. The lot, where the house was inserted has a non-regular shape, perpendicular to the street, so the challenge was to design a house, that will smoothly fit into the subtle slope.
The team of Nu.ma designed a set of lines, merging the floors, in order to reduce the visibility of the elevation. The surface features a concrete facade, completed with wooden elements, that bring a little bit of warmth into the robust residence. The building is set over two levels, including living and private rooms, everything what’s needed for a comfortable home living. The first floor includes the master suite, with an access to the exterior terrace, that features remarkable swimming pool.
