Italian brand Mattiazzi was established in 1979 by Nevio and Fabiano Mattiazzi. Since then, the company outgrew itself into a premium brand, specializing in the production of high-quality wooden chairs.
For designing Quindici, the first upholstered lounge chair in the Mattiazzi collection, they commissioned the well-known French design duo, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, who’s name is no novelty for an art lover. Their collaboration brought fruitful results, as the outcome is simply poetry disguised in a design of a minimalist piece of furniture.
The luxurious wooden chair comes in two styles and three base colors. One can choose the simplistic style of an armchair or the lounge version, which comes with an addition of an extra leg rest. Natural, grey and black can be chosen for the color of the wood, while the upholstery, which comes with the coating of Raf Simons for Kvadrat textiles, is available in the colors of white, dark green and black. The Bouroullec brothers had a sophisticated yet novel approach towards the design. They kept the traditional motives of the Mattiazzi brand in mind, while delivering the contemporary version of a timeless, quality lounge chair.
