Linda Brownlee is a Dublin-born photographer and creative director. Her work consistently redefines the ordinary by turning it into something magical, intimate and enchanting.
Her work has been widely appreciated and displayed in various distinguished galleries such as London’s National Portrait Gallery, and travelled with the Photographers Gallery in London.
Presented below is a photo series titled I Zii. It’s a personal observation of Sicilian village of Gangi. Linda was invited there by a friend, to create a visual narration of the lifestyle there. Having a sensitive soul and great eye, Linda was able to look at everyday life of Sicilians and find the magic in it. By merging the pictures from the periphery, along with authentic portraits, Linda created a body of work, that encourage the viewer to contemplate and look beyond what’s visible by eyes.
