Kazunori Ohnaka is a ceramic artist, who lives and works in Yamaguchi, Japan.
He started as a potter in 2001 and later on, he decided to open a small atelier in Mine, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Since then, his works has been widely appreciated and exhibited in various group and solo exhibition.
Presented below is a survey of Kazunori’s work. His practice is strongly tied with Japanese identity and can be described as an attempt to visualize strenght in fragility. The objects feature phenomenal mixture of textures and are not always concerned with functionality. However they make an eye-pleasing display.
