Stockholm-based Swedish architecture practice HelgessonGonzaga Arkitekter has a deep knowledge of understanding architectural design, as a result of having worked on a broad scale of projects. The studio focuses on the more practical side of architecture, also seeking the harmony between practice, teaching and research.
Presented project, titled House 669 is located in the beautiful city of Sweden, Stockholm. The house was built in collaboration with a local catalogue house manufacturer, still providing a unique appearance, while perfectly fitting the needs of a family of five.
Although the fast construction and cost-effective nature of the project was an important factor, the building is not lacking the modernity and contemporaneity of a 21st century stylish house. The spaces throughout the house feature a splash of muted hues, which perfectly complement each other, to bring some color to everyday life. The basic construction of the two-story residence can be divided into two different structural areas. The first being the open spaces, such as the kitchen, which is opened up to the living room, creating a spacious area for social living. The private rooms are located on the upper level, providing the proper area for tranquility and relaxation. The predominantly grey house features windows with yellow framing, which gives it a playful look. Despite being built on the foundations of compromise, this prefabricated house is a dream come true for the household.
