Previously featured in Thisispaper, Norwegian designer Falke Svatun implemented a project named Tumble, a stoneware vessel designed to challenge the conventional perception of a vase in shape, function and appearance.
Falke’s main focus has been within creating furniture, lighting and accessories with a minimalistic approach, often with historic references. His work has been widely appreciated and exhibited in Oslo, Stockholm, Milan, Paris and Copenhagen.
The vessel is characterized by the cutout at its base, which allows it to sit on the edge of a shelf or sill, creating a harmonious interplay between simplicity and complexity. The vessels come in two colors, simple black and white, featuring a matted surface over a stoneware cast.
