Previously featured in Thisispaper, Oslo-based design firm Falke Svatun Studio created a three-piece lamp series, all sharing the same distinctive lighting effect.
The project is entitled Kantarell and is characterized by its graceful form, which derives from the exploration of light direction.
The reflector resembles an inverted funnel, spreading the light outwards from the hidden light source, placed in its center. When turned on, the light is soft and doesn’t disturb by sharp shadows. While the pendant is static, the head of the floor and side table lamp is movable and can be tilted in a 90 degree angle to change the direction of the light as needed.
