Spanish graphic design studio Creanet was founded by Jose Moreno. The creative agency works in the field of graphic design, taking on challenging assignments ranging from creating brand identities all the way to illustration, including various interesting projects in between.
Presented project, titled 12, is an architecture magazine dedicated to the art of architecture, containing existing projects and essays, written by artists working in the field of architecture.
For the creation process no specific requirements were given regarding the design, therefore the studio decided to embrace the artistic freedom. Creanet created a clean and easily readable layout, so the focus remained on the project rather than distracting the attention from the important details.
“We wanted to make a cover that had a visual impact different from the conventional, and give depth and perspective,” added the team. At first, the magazine was designed with black corners, however, while applying the finishing touches to the layout, the team decided to rather cut the edges off, giving place to experimental solutions. The result is an ode to shape and structure, celebrating architecture inside and outside.
