Alexandra Von Fuerst is an Italian photographer, currently based in London. Her eye-catching, yet slightly disturbing photographs, invite the viewer to look beyond the ideal.
Her works explore topics, which are very intimate. She often photographs female body, which she treats as a subject on its own. "Sensation, perception and identity are key factors in regard to this topic. The grace and appeal of the human form always awakened a deep interest in me,” shared her thoughts Alexandra.
Besides taking photographs of women, Alexandra is interested in exploring the imperfect perfection of nature. She express this curiosity by capturing objects, which may be hard to identify — detached from its reality and inserted into a parallel, surreal world. "My interest is concentrated on the contrast between the sensible, material and the untouchable, undefined aspect of reality. I am seeking for the substance of reality, the fine line between abstraction and concreteness,” added the photographer.
