We still cannot get enough of Japanese brand Akane Utsunomiya, which we discovered a few days ago.
Fashion designer Akane Hasui, Central Saint Martins graduate, created a collection, inspired by african tribal style. Akane developed luxurious yet unflashy silhouettes, including garments, varying by cut, color, or decoration.
Collection Spring 2017 is very feminine — particularly the short dresses, crop tops with ruffles or shirts featuring cut-outs, referring to Akane’s main idea — african tribal style, that is characterized by costumes derived from many folkloric dress. The ultimate art, however, is to extract the personal identity and signature out of everything, that charms or touches us. Akane’s collection is a beautiful example of it.
