Presented below, the book titled Somewhere Beyond Heaven, is written by Hongkongese scholar and poet dr. TSANG Sui-Ming, who affectingly defines present common view of the family, relationships and society through his critical viewpoint.
The team of ACST Design had to deal with the task to put this scientific content into a fine book. To set the substance into each spread, they used essential means of expression, intertwined with the basic colors. “To create a coherence of the body and the book cover, the bespoke visual tone of simplicity and emptiness was set to echo with the author's low-key, imperturbable and subtle writing style. While the typographical play of title was designed to deliver implicit yet poetic imagination. The seemingly arbitrary lines between the somehow askew positioned characters represents the distance between everyday lives we take for granted and the ones in reality, and forms a ladder that metaphorically expresses the idea of somewhere beyond above,” shared their thoughts the team of ACST Design.
